Our New Friends

A week or so ago, Shawn's friend, Joseph, asked him to go with him to talk to some people living under bridges on Ellington Parkway. They went and met some really good people. They asked if there was anything the church could get them, and they simply asked for blankets. Nothing else.

The church held a blanket drive the following Sunday. It turned out great!! I'd say there were about 15-20 blankets/sleeping bags donated. (Almost all of them were brand new!!)

Last night Joseph, Jara, Emma & Joe, and Shawn & I went to hand out blankets.

It was a really neat experience. :)
